Seasonal AllergiesToday it is believed that about six million Spanish suffer in varying degrees of spring allergies. But the symptoms can be avoided? A few simple tips can make them much more tolerable.

The most obvious advice is one of the most important: identify the cause of the allergy, to avoid our exposure to it as possible.

No less known is the following advice: the use of a medically antihistamine. Some practitioners are reluctant to use them, because they believe that cause drowsiness. However, second-generation antihistamines such as the popular Clarityne have already exceeded that side effect, so drivers and other professions that require high levels of care can take it without fear.

Something as simple as taking a pair of sunglasses can greatly relieve our eyes from contact with particles of pollen. Similarly, a shower and change clothes when we get home to avoid exposure to pollen that has settled on our clothes or our hair.

Smoking, being in places full of smoke, the highly polluted cities, the passage through busy streets … in general, the smoke, apart from the negative health consequences that has on its own, is a common ally allergies, helping both its development and to increase the symptoms.

At home and in the car, close the windows. Avoid smoke and particulates. To renew the air in both spaces we can use the ventilation air conditioning (if your filter is efficient and is in good condition).

Avoid large concentrations of airborne pollen. From 5 to 10 am usually given the highest levels. We must reduce outdoor activities, and take advantage of days of rain and little wind. By contrast, on dry, sunny and windy are very intense in the levels of pollen.
